President-elect 2024 (1 Opening)

June 2024 – 2025  President-elect:

  • Three-year commitment, beginning June  1.
  • Member of APS Executive Council.
  • Presides at Council meetings when the President is unable to attend.
  • Introduces the Siegel Award recipient during the APS Presidential Plenary at PAS.
  • Serves on the APS PAS Program Committee during tenure as President-elect and President.

June 2025 – 2026  President:

  • Responsible for general/active management of APS affairs, including strategic planning and implementation.
  • Presides at Presidential Plenary and Howland Dinner at the PAS Meeting.
  • Member of APS Executive Council.
  • Serves a one (1) year term—beginning June 1.
  • Serves on the Finance Committee during tenure as President and Past President.
  • Serves as ex-officio member to the APS CODIE during tenure as President.
  • Serves on the APS PAS Program Committee during tenure as President-elect and President

June 2026 – 2027  Past President:

  • Serves a one (1) year term—beginning June 1.
  • Serves on the Finance Committee during tenure as President and Past President.
  • Chairs the Nominating Committee during tenure as Past President.
  • Member of APS Executive Council.

Council Member 2024 – 2029 (4 Openings)

  • Council Member (a five-year term), beginning June 1.
  • Responsibilities include attendance at in-person Summer and Fall Council meetings and participation in monthly Council calls; active engagement in APS activities, including representation in various organizations, serving on APS committees and task forces.

Note:  Must wait a three-year period between nominations if selected as a candidate and not elected.
