Dr. Rachel Katzenellenbogen Announced as the 2024 Norman J. Siegel Outstanding Science Award Recipient
The American Pediatric Society (APS) is pleased to announce Rachel Katzenellenbogen, MD, as the recipient of the 2024 Norman J. Siegel Outstanding Science Award for his considerable contributions to pediatric science. The award will be presented to Dr. Katzenellenbogen during the APS Presidential Plenary at the Pediatric Academic Societies 2024 Meeting.
APS Announces 84 New Members for 2024
The American Pediatric Society (APS) is pleased to announce 84 new members. Founded in 1888, the APS is the first and most prestigious academic pediatric organization in North America. New members will be recognized during the APS Presidential Plenary at the Pediatric Academic Societies 2024 Meeting, May 2 – 6, 2024, in Toronto, Canada.
APS members are recognized child health leaders of extraordinary achievement who work together to shape the future of academic pediatrics. New members are nominated by current members through a process that recognizes individuals who have distinguished themselves as child health leaders, teachers, scholars, policymakers and/or clinicians.
2024 David G. Nichols Health Equity Award Recipient Announced
The American Pediatric Society (APS) is pleased to announce Glenn Flores, MD as the recipient of the 2024 David G. Nichols Health Equity Award. This award recognizes Dr. Flores’ outstanding contributions to advancing child and adolescent health, well-being, and equity and the far-reaching impact of his work. The award will be presented to Dr. Flores during the APS Presidential Plenary at the Pediatric Academic Societies (PAS) 2024 Meeting in Toronto, Canada, May 2-6, 2023.
Dr. Alan Jobe Announced as the 2024 John Howland Award Recipient
The American Pediatric Society (APS) is pleased to announce Alan Jobe, MD, PhD as the 2024 APS John Howland Award recipient, the highest honor bestowed by the APS. The prestigious award signifies the society’s recognition of Dr. Jobe for his significant contributions to advancing child health and the profession of pediatrics. APS & SPR Announce 2024 Mary Ellen Avery Award Recipient
The American Pediatric Society (APS) and the Society for Pediatric Research (SPR) are pleased to announce Donna M. Ferriero, MD, MS, as the recipient of the 2024 Mary Ellen Avery Neonatal Research Award. This award honors a pediatric investigator who has made important contributions to neonatal health through basic or translational research.
