Purpose

The Nominating Committee ensures strong and effective leadership within APS by identifying and advancing candidates for leadership roles and recognizing excellence through the Society’s highest honors.


What We Do

The Committee supports APS leadership and recognition efforts by:

  • Reviewing nominations for APS Officer and Council positions
  • Preparing and presenting leadership slates for election
  • Evaluating nominations for the Howland Award
  • Recommending a slate of distinguished finalists for APS’s highest honor, the Howland Award
  • Supporting transparent and thoughtful selection processes
